The intranet is a great tool for communicating internally, everyone can see information whenever they open a web browser at the station. This contains helpful information from the station, as well information you can post yourself.

This guide will show you how to post an announcement to the intranet.

  1. Open the intranet

  2. On the homepage you will see the Announcement section loud and proud at the top of the page, you can use the Add button to create your own Announcement, you can choose to post, or link.
What's the difference between a post and a link? A post allows you to create an announcement from scratch, and this is what we will cover in this guide. A Link allows you to post a website address from another website and show this on the Intranet.
  3. In this case we will use the News Post, click this and you will be greeted by a template page, here you can choose a helpful template to help draw focus to your announcement.
We'll use the Visual Template, by selecting it and pressing 'Create Post'

  4. Now you can update the text to reflect what you want to announce, don't forget to add a catchy relevant image, and make it exciting; people will respond better to something that is well written and well publicised.

  5. Once you're done, just press 'Post News' in the top right

  6. And you'll see your announcement on the Home Page, and under the Annoucements section in the Volunteer Area.
